Back from the dead
Hey guys! Sorry I haven’t posted in literally a year. I kinda found that at this point in my life, it’s 1. no longer healthy for me to be staring at pictures of face characters all day and 2. kinda weird because now a lot of those people are my colleagues. SO, if you’d like to keep up with my journey, please head on over to alainas-adventures. That’s where I’ve been posting about my time at Hong Kong Disneyland and traveling around Asia. I’ll still occasionally post on belleieve – maybe you’ll see a familiar face or two. 🌸❄️🐠

What a magical night of dreams coming true! I was chosen to represent the Walt Disney Company at the announcement of the expansion of Sleeping Beauty Castle. I was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of performing in front of a Disney castle! (Although I’d like to do it again!)
The event was gloriously named “The Magical Castle Transformation Celebration” – say that ten times fast! In it, my good friends Britt, Abbie and I performed the Princess Empowerment Medley from Mickey and the Wondrous Book. We were also accompanied by our special friends, Ariel, Rapunzel, and – for the first time outside of the Storybook Theatre – Merida!
The ceremony was attended by Hong Kong Disneyland Managing Director Samuel Lau, and President and Managing Director, Asia, for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, Bill Ernest. We were also met by our very supportive fans – some of whom waited over two hours in the cold to secure a spot for the fleeting magical moment!
Although it was a very short event, it was beautiful and memorable. It was followed by the Disney in the Stars fireworks spectacular, which will be retiring on January 1, 2018, to make room for the Castle expansion. You can watch the entire presentation on YouTube here.
And as soon as one door closes, another opens! Stay tuned for performances from our Entertainment & Costuming Christmas Cabaret, as well as the 2017 New Year’s Eve countdown, which I will be hosting at the brand new Disney Explorer’s Lodge!

This is extremely cheesy, but I can’t believe it’s been 500 swims with this mermaid. I’m so grateful to be a part of your world, Ariel!
